Introducing: Slacks Construction!
Learn to sew your next favorite pair of pants. With an elastic waistband that sits at the natural waist, deep pockets, and choice of 2 leg styles, the Free Range Slacks from Portland, OR designer Sew House Seven will be the pair you live in. In this class you will learn secrets of fitting pants for your body, plus how to confidently execute finishing techniques such as flat-felled and French seams. We will be making the pants in muslin while you learn to customize pattern pieces for your unique shape. Pattern and fabric included in course fee.

Introducing: Alterations 101
Learn how to alter ready-to-wear or thrifted clothes, giving your hacked clothes a professional finish. We will be discussing the best methods for hemming jeans, dress pants, skirts, and shirts, as well as how to make simple fit changes to give your clothes a second life. Bring in a pair of pants, shirt, dress, or jacket so that we can discuss real examples. After the initial 2-hour class on theory, sign up for a 2-hour lab for one-on-one help.

Get pretty on the inside! Making this versatile raglan-sleeve top, you will learn to create French seams with confidence, giving your makes a professional finish, outside and in. This top features three different sleeves to choose from – short, three-quarter, and a gathered bracelet-length – plus 2 different necklines. We will be making this top with a light-weight 100% cotton Madras cloth in your choice of 3 color ways. After the class, you’ll find an even wider range of possibilities.
